CV & BIO

Brian Rego was born in Santa Clara, CA in 1980. He received his BFA at the University of South Carolina and was the recipient of the Ed Yaghjian Award for distinguished undergraduate work. He received his MFA at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and co-founded the painting collective known as Perceptual Painters. He has taught at the University of South Carolina, Columbia College, Benedict College, Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, the Mt. Gretna School of Art (MGSOA), Art New England (ANE), the Beverly Street Studio School (BSSS), and the Jerusalem Studio School (JSS). Rego is represented by John Davis Gallery in Hudson, NY. Currently, Rego lives in South Carolina with his family, where he continues to paint and teach.
